Two pit crew members from Martin Truex Jr.‘s No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing team have been suspended for two NASCAR Cup Series races, NASCAR announced Feb. 28.
The penalty comes after a wheel came off after Truex made a pit stop at Auto Club Speedway Sunday.
The infraction violates sections 8.8.10.4.C: Loss or separation of an improperly installed tire/wheel from the vehicle. Note: Loss of tire/wheel during the event.
Truex was held on pit road for two laps during the race.
Tire changer Danny Olszowy and jackman Kellen Mills are sidelined for Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.
