Nick Sanchez will start from the pole in his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, earning the top spot for tonight’s (Feb. 17) season opener from Daytona International Speedway.
Sanchez drove his No. 2 for Rev Racing to a time of 181.899 mph.
He outlasted returning competitor Ty Majeski, who will start second in ThorSport Racing’s No. 98.
Part-timer Jack Wood will start third in Kyle Busch Motorsports’ No. 51, while Christian Eckes and Corey LaJoie will start fourth and fifth, respectively.
Matt Crafton, Jason A. White, Matt DiBenedetto, Carson Hocevar and Chase Purdy rounded out the top 10.
With 42 trucks entered for 36 spots, six drivers failed to qualify: full-timers Lawless Alan and Spencer Boyd plus part-time drivers Norm Benning, Todd Peck, Kaden Honeycutt and Bryan Dauzat.
