The ARCA Menards Series took to Iowa Speedway late Saturday night (June 11) for the Calypso Lemonade 150. The 10 p.m. ET start was delayed due to rain and didn’t go green until just after 1 a.m. ET Sunday morning with pole sitter Jesse Love leading the field.
After a long night and a late start, it was NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Brandon Jones in victory lane, collecting his second straight win in the ARCA division following his triumph at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Jones battled hard all night with the No. 18 of Sammy Smith, who started at the tail end of the field due to unapproved pre-race adjustments. After trading the lead back-and-forth, Jones pulled away from both Smith and Love to take the win by 0.843 seconds.
“You go through your whole [racing] life with rain delays and learning how to manage that time gap,” Jones said post-race. “It was 2019 the last time I had a win here, I had one in K&N East back in 2014 so I definitely have some laps here. Good to finally get back to victory lane and see this place [Iowa Speedway] again.”
When asked about having room for another trophy, Jones said: “I think we’ll have room to accommodate it. Three more [ARCA starts] scheduled this year so hopefully, we get three more.”

Connor Mosack finished in third after Love had an issue running in third with five laps remaining. Jonathan Shafer and Conner Jones finished in fourth and fifth, respectively, while Love dropped back to 13th.
It was not an easy night for Rajah Caruth who led the points coming into the race. Just 11 laps in, he spun his Rev Racing No. 6 Chevrolet coming off turn 2 to bring out the caution. He went three laps down and fought hard the rest of the way to finish two laps down in 12th position.
Daniel Dye, who came into this race third in points, also had an issue with a broken valve under the hood. He did not return to action and was scored in 17th, one of eight cars who failed to finish.
