Ken Schrader to Compete in SRX Race at I-55

Dirt racing and former NASCAR Cup Series veteran Ken Schrader will compete in the SRX event at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 on July 16, SRX announced May 3.

Schrader is the co-owner of the 0.3-mile dirt track and has multiple victories during his dirt racing career there.

“It’s super exciting for me to be working with Kenny again after knowing him for so long,” SRX CEO Don Hawk said in a press release. “He returns in 2022 as an SRX test driver, but more importantly a superstar driver in the race at I-55 Raceway. He belongs in there. I can’t wait for this race.”

Schrader, who has been utilized as a test driver for the series in the past, will fill the role as the superstar driver picked by the track to make his first career start in the SRX series.

The series’ sophomore season will kick off June 18 at Five Flags Speedway. The series’ visit to I-55 will be the season’s fifth and penultimate round.
