Alex Labbe is back with DGM Racing for at least 18 NASCAR Xfinity Series races in 2022, DGM announced Feb. 12.
He’ll pilot the No. 90 at Daytona International Speedway and will switch to the No. 36 at Auto Club Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.
Can-am, Larue Snowblowers and VR Victoriaville will sponsor Labbe. Can-am will be on board for eight events, including Phoenix (March), Circuit of the Americas, Road America, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, Michigan International Speedway, Daytona (August), Bristol Motor Speedway and the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL.
“I am so excited to be back with DGM Racing,” Labbe said in a team release. “Although we are scaling back the amount of races this year, I am confident it will allow us to be more competitive and successful as a team in the long run. Mario has supported me for as long as I can remember, and I cannot thank him and Michelle enough for what they’ve done over the years. Having the opportunity to race in NASCAR is a dream come true.”
The Canadian has one top five and 10 top-10 finishes in NXS, earning a career-best result of fourth at the Charlotte ROVAL in 2020.
Josh Bilicki will drive the No. 36 at Daytona, while Mason Massey and Kyle Weatherman hop in Nos. 91 and 92, respectively.
