Mason Massey Moving to DGM

Mason Massey is moving to DGM Racing for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, DGM announced Dec. 15.

Massey will contest the majority of the 2022 schedule in the team’s No. 91.

“I’m pumped to be working with Mario (Gosselin, owner) and the entire DGM Racing team,” Massey said in a tam release. “It’s a family-run race team, and that aligns with the way my family and I have always raced.”

“We are extremely excited to welcome Mason to the DGM family,” Gosselin added. “During the offseason, we made many strategic changes to our facilities and equipment that allow us to strengthen and improve DGM Racing. With Mason’s impressive track record and our recent upgrades, we are ready to tackle the 2022 season.”

Massey is the first driver to be announced for DGM’s 2022 lineup. One driver from 2021, Josh Williams, previously announced he is moving to BJ McLeod Motorsports next year. The release specified that DGM plans to field at least two full-time cars in 2022.

Massey drove predominantly for BJMM in 2021, making 13 starts total, with a best result of 17th at Richmond Raceway.

Massey’s schedule was not announced at press time.
