Tyler Reddick will have a different person calling the shots atop his No. 8 pit box, as usual crew chief Randall Burnett will miss the NASCAR Cup Series season finale at Phoenix Raceway due to COVID-19 protocols, FOX Sports‘ Bob Pockrass tweeted Nov. 4.
Richard Childress Racing engineer Andrew Dickeson will serve as the replacement crew chief.
Reddick is currently 13th in the points standings with three top fives and 16 top 10s. He tied his career-best finish of second twice this season at Homestead-Miami Speedway and the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL.
Dickeson will not only be tasked with guiding Reddick through the race itself but also through practice and qualifying, which returns in all three NASCAR national series for their season finales.
The Cup race at Phoenix will take place Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. ET, with TV coverage provided by NBC.
