Dylan Lupton will race for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Darlington Raceway, the team announced Aug. 25.
He’ll pilot the No. 51 Safelite Toyota in his first Truck start since the championship race at Phoenix Raceway last year.
Lupton has run 11 total Truck races, most of them for David Gilliland Racing, and has earned one top five and four top 10 finishes.
“The opportunity to drive the top-notch equipment that Kyle Busch Motorsports prepares is a dream come true,” Lupton said in a team release. “The No. 51 team always prepares fast Tundras and I’m extremely excited to get to Darlington and be able to showcase my talent.”
He’ll be the eighth different driver to wheel the No. 51 this season; Kyle Busch won twice and Martin Truex Jr. snagged a victory at the Bristol Motor Speedway dirt track.
Drivers will take on Darlington in the second round of the playoffs on Sunday, Sept. 5 at 1:30 p.m. ET. It will air on FOX Sports 1.
