Loris Hezemans will attempt to qualify the No. 33 for Reaume Brothers Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, RBR announced Aug. 9.
The race will mark RBR’s first attempt in the Xfinity Series as a completely separate entry; it has previously fielded entries in an owner’s point share situation with organizations such as RSS Racing.
Hezemans won the 2019 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series championship after winning four of 13 races and recording six podium finishes. He currently leads the 2021 series points standings with three wins to date.
He made his first Xfinity start with BJ McLeod Motorsports in 2019 at Road America, recording a current career-best result of 22nd. In 2021, he has made two starts on the year between MBM Motorsports and DGM Racing, with a best showing of 27th at Pocono Raceway.
To make the 36-car field, Hezemans will have to qualify his way in, as the No. 33 does not have any points in 2021.
