Spencer Boyd will compete for DGM Racing in several NASCAR Xfinity Series events this season starting at Richmond Raceway, he announced Aug. 4.
He’ll have sponsorship from the cryptocurrency MiniDOGE and will pilot the No. 90 at Richmond.
“I’m a racer,” Spencer said in a release. “I want to race everything and anything…shoot, I’ll race lawnmowers! This deal gets me more seat time allowing me to improve as a driver. I appreciate Mario (Gosselin) giving me the opportunity to race with his team alongside my good buddy Josh Williams. I think DevTeamSix will love the exposure for MiniDOGE as we look to the future with their great team of forward thinkers.”
Boyd currently races in the Camping World Truck Series for Young’s Motorsports. He has one win at Talladega Superspeedway in 2019 and one additional top-five finish.
He also ran the full 2018 Xfinity season for SS Green Light Racing and has nine other starts in the series. His best finish was 17th at Daytona International Speedway in 2018.
The Xfinity race at Richmond is set to air Sept. 11 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
