Ty Gibbs Wins Pocono ARCA Pole

Ty Gibbs has a fast No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota for the ARCA Menards Series General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 at Pocono Raceway. After leading both practice sessions, he won the pole for the race.

It’s his fourth pole of this year and the 10th of his ARCA career. He is also the defending race winner at Pocono in addition to his four straight main ARCA series victories.

Gibbs posted a pole-winning speed of 171.778 mph.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rookie Chandler Smith missed the pole by 0.447 seconds. Smith is making his first ARCA start this season piloting the No. 25 Venturini Motorsports Toyota.

ARCA points leader Corey Heim will start third.

Sam Mayer, who is making his first ARCA start this year before debuting in the NASCAR Xfinity Series also at Pocono, will start fourth.

Jack Wood rounds out the top five. He will compete in both the ARCA race and the Truck race.

Nick Sanchez, Drew Dollar, Kyle Sieg, Andy Jankowiak and Thad Moffitt comprise the top 10.

The General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 will take place tonight at 6 p.m. ET with TV coverage provided by FOX Sports 1.
