Carlin and driver Max Chilton will miss this weekend’s GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis due to a travel-related issue, the team announced May 14.
The team, which currently sits 27th in the standings with Chilton, mentioned in the press release it will use this extra time to prepare for the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 later this month.
Despite this news, Carlin announced its two Indy Lights cars run, by Alex Peroni and Cameron Bogle, will still take to the track this weekend as planned.
Carlin currently has a best finish this season of 20th, which came with Chilton driving in the season opener at Barber.
Chilton ran nine of the 14 IndyCar races for the team in 2020, with a best finish of 11th at Indianapolis.
