For the second week in a row, Brad Keselowski will start on the pole in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, May 9.
The 2018 Bojangles’ Southern 500 winner claimed the position after finishing third at Kansas Speedway last week.
The most recent Darlington victor, Kevin Harvick, will line up next to Keselowski on the front row. Kansas winner Kyle Busch and his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Martin Truex Jr. begin third and fourth, respectively, while William Byron rounds out the top five positions.
Byron’s Hendrick Motorsports cohort Chase Elliott is sixth, Denny Hamlin starts seventh and Matt DiBenedetto begins eighth. Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Dillon and Tyler Reddick complete the top 10.
Four weighted categories were combined to form the lineup: driver’s and car owner’s finishing position (25% each), fastest lap from previous race (15%) and team owner points ranking (35%).
