John Hunter Nemechek starts from the pole in Saturday’s (May 1) NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway.
The No. 4 Kyle Busch Motorsports driver earned the position after winning at Richmond Raceway two weeks ago.
His boss and teammate Kyle Busch joins him on the front row, while ThorSport Racing’s Ben Rhodes and Johnny Sauter start third and fourth, respectively. Chandler Smith rounds out the top five in the lineup.
Front Row Motorsports’ Todd Gilliland begins sixth and Hattori Racing Enterprises’ Austin Hill is seventh. Sheldon Creed, Zane Smith and Stewart Friesen complete the top 10 starters.
Four categories were weighted and combined to form the lineup: driver’s and truck owner’s finishing position from previous race (25% each), fastest lap (15%) and team owner points ranking (35%).
