Ty Gibbs to Lead ARCA Field at Talladega

Ty Gibbs is a star in the making. He won his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut and is the most recent winner in the ARCA Menards Series. He will lead the ARCA field to start its race at Talladega Superspeedway tomorrow (Saturday, April 24).

No qualifying session was scheduled for this ARCA race which will be the lead in race for Saturday’s doubleheader at Talladega with the Xfinity Series. The lineup, therefore, was set via the 2020 owners’ points standings.

The 2021 General Tire 200 will be Gibbs’ first start at Talladega.

Reigning series champion Bret Holmes will start second. Talladega is Holmes’ home track and he finished third in last year’s ARCA race.

Venturini Motorsports teammates Gracie Trotter and Corey Heim will respectively start third and fourth. The third member of the Venturini Motorsports contingent, Drew Dollar, will start sixth. Dollar won this race last season.

Thad Moffitt, who earned his career-best finish of third place in the series’ most recent race at Phoenix, will round out the starting top five.

ARCA Talladega Starting Lineup

There will be a half-hour practice session for the 29 participants tomorrow. The race is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET with TV coverage provided by FS1.
