Kyle Larson will drive the No. 44 truck for Niece Motorsports in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ Bristol Motor Speedway dirt race, the team announced Wednesday, March 17.
It marks Larson’s first Truck race since 2016. He has two Truck wins, including the 2016 race at Eldora Speedway, as well as seven top fives and 10 top 10s in the series.
“Kyle is obviously one of the best drivers out there today,” said Niece Motorsports General Manager Cody Efaw. “His resume on dirt speaks for itself. We are looking forward to him joining the organization at Bristol and contending for a win.”
While he was away from Cup Series competition in 2020, Larson earned 46 victories in 97 dirt track events. He also won the Chili Bowl Nationals in 2020 and 2021.
Additionally, Larson won at Las Vegas Motor Speedway while driving the No. 5 car for Hendrick Motorsports earlier this season. He has two total top fives and four top 10s so far in 2021.
The Pinty’s Dirt Truck Race will air on March 27 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
