In preparation for the inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race at Circuit of the Americas, Cup drivers Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. will test Goodyear tires at the 3.41-mile road course, NASCAR announced Feb. 25.
The March 2 session is not open to the public.
The three drivers represent the three Cup manufacturers; Elliott drives the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, Keselowski pilots the No. 2 Team Penske Ford and Truex competes in the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.
The tire test will be the first time Cup drivers have driven on the newly added course.
FOX Sports reporter Bob Pockrass recently tweeted the tentative length of the Cup Series race at COTA is 68 laps, with the first and second stages ending at laps 15 and 32, respectively.
The EchoPark Texas Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, May 23 at 2:30 p.m. ET with TV coverage provided by FOX Sports 1.
