Practice, Heat Races Announced for Bristol Dirt Races

There will be qualifying heat races and two practice sessions before the NASCAR Camping World and Cup series events at the Bristol Motor Speedway dirt track, BMS announced Feb. 24.

Bush’s Beans will sponsor both events on Friday and Saturday, March 26-27.

Each series will have two hour-long practice sessions on Friday; Cup will be on track at 4:05 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. ET, while Trucks practice at 3:05 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. ET.

Then on Saturday, both the Cup and Truck series will run in four 15-lap qualifying heat races to set the field for its respective events.

Cup drivers will take to the track starting at 6 p.m. ET, with the next three qualifying heats 15 minutes in succession.

Trucks will begin their heat races at 4:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 5 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. ET.

The release does not specify how the lineups for the heat races will be set.

A limited number of fans will be allowed to attend the practice event as well as the Truck race.

The Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt airs on March 27 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1. The Cup Series’ Food City Dirt Race is on March 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET and airs on FOX.
