Derek Griffith Joins Venturini for Two ARCA Races

After debuting last year in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East, Derek Griffith has joined Venturini Motorsports for two ARCA races this season, he announced Thursday, Jan. 14.

Griffith will drive the No. 55 Toyota in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 13 as well as the first race at Kansas Speedway on May 1. SpotOn, a San Francisco-based small business software and payments company, will serve as his primary sponsor in those two races.

“It’s an honor to now have the opportunity to represent my sponsor racing for such a successful organization like Venturini Motorsports,” Griffith said in a press release. “They’re a great team. I’ve been talking with Billy (Venturini) for a while – I’m excited everything fell into place the way it did. I’m ready to go!”

In 11 combined races between ARCA and its East series, Griffith notched three top fives and nine top 10s along with one pole last season. He achieved his best finish of the year in the East season opener at New Smyrna Speedway where he placed second.

Griffith will be one of four drivers competing under the Venturini Motorsports banner this year, all of whom will compete in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Corey Heim will pilot the No. 20 full-time this season, Drew Dollar will drive the No. 15 part-time, and Gracie Trotter will compete part-time as well, driving the No. 25 at Daytona International Speedway.
