Rick Ware Racing Announces Full-Season Sponsorship from Nurtec ODT

Nurtec ODT will sponsor Rick Ware Racing for the full season in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2021, the team announced Dec. 2.

The company, a part of Biohaven, will be a primary partner for the organization starting at the season-opening Daytona 500 on RWR’s No. 51, sporting a mostly purple paint scheme.

“I am ecstatic to have Nurtec ODT join the Rick Ware Racing family, and we just can’t wait for 2021 to get rolling,” team owner Rick Ware said in a release. “To have a sponsor help fund our team and at the same time, raise awareness about an acute treatment for migraine is a win for us and our fans. As the parent of a family member with migraine, I am particularly excited to help share the message about Nurtec ODT with the world so that many others can get relief. Racing is all about speed and we look forward to crossing the finish line with the Nurtec ODT No. 51 car.”

The team’s driver was not specified in the release. In 2020, the No. 51 was driven by a variety of racers.

RWR has not yet announced further plans for 2021 in the NASCAR ranks, aside from confirming two Xfinity Series entries and reportedly planning a four-car Cup effort. In 2020, the team ran the Nos. 51 and 53 full time and eventually took over the operation of the Nos. 15 and 27 from Premium Motorsports as well.
