Sheldon Creed Takes Truck Pole at Talladega

The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series head to Talladega Superspeedway for its final race in the Round of 10. Sheldon Creed will lead the field to the green flag on Oct. 3.

The No. 2 GMS Racing pilot earned the Cometic Gasket Pole Award after leading 89 laps en route to second place last week at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Hattori Racing Enterprises’ (and Vegas victor) Austin Hill will begin next to Creed on the front row. Creed’s GMS teammate Zane Smith starts third, Grant Enfinger is fourth and Chandler Smith rounds out the top five.

Christian Eckes starts sixth and Matt Crafton is seventh. GMS cohorts Brett Moffitt and Tyler Ankrum begin eighth and ninth, while Todd Gilliland finishes up the top 10 starters.

The lineup was created using a formula combining four weighted categories: team owner points (35%), driver’s end position (25%), owner’s finishing position (25%) and fastest lap from previous race (15%).

Truck Starting Lineup for Talladega

The Chevy Silverado 250 airs on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1 and MRN radio.
