Justin Haley Nabs Xfinity Pole at Darlington

The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Darlington Raceway this week, and Justin Haley is on the pole for the Sports Clips Haircuts VFW 200 on Saturday, Sept. 5.

Haley earned the top position after winning last week’s race at Daytona International Speedway.

NASCAR adjusted the formula starting this week to include owner’s finishing position from previous race (weighted 25%). Driver’s finishing position is 25%, fastest lap 15% and rank in owner points is 35%.

Chase Briscoe, who won six races so far this season, starts second next to Haley. Joe Gibbs Racing’s Harrison Burton is third, while the No. 22 Team Penske driver Austin Cindric begins fourth. Haley’s Kaulig Racing teammate Ross Chastain rounds out the top five.

Burton’s JGR cohort Riley Herbst is in sixth, and Michael Annett is the highest starter for JR Motorsports in seventh. Brandon Jones is eighth, Josh Williams begins ninth and Jesse Little completes the top 10 qualifiers.
