The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series heads to World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway Sunday, Aug. 30, and Zane Smith is on the pole.
The rookie claimed the Cometic Gasket Pole Award after winning his second oval race in a row at Dover International Speedway last week.
Fellow GMS Racing driver Brett Moffitt starts next to Smith on the front row, while Matt Crafton and Austin Hill lineup behind them. Crafton’s ThorSport Racing teammate Ben Rhodes rounds out the top five starters.
Todd Gilliland begins in sixth and Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Christian Eckes is seventh. Tyler Ankrum starts eighth, Johnny Sauter is ninth and Derek Kraus completes the top 10.
The lineup was formed using a combination of owner’s points ranking, finishing position and fastest lap from previous race.
Truck Starting Lineup: CarShield 200
The CarShield 200 at Gateway will air on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 12 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
