Three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves is the latest driver to join the Superstar Racing Experience.
He’ll join fellow INDYCAR veterans Tony Kanaan and Paul Tracy, as well as NASCAR Hall of Famers Tony Stewart and Bobby Labonte in the series.
Castroneves has 24 career NTT IndyCar Series victories and earned 83 podiums. Additionally, he finished second in the points standings five times.
Stewart and Ray Evernham started SRX, which will compete at six short tracks next summer. Evernham is designing the cars to showcase drivers’ talents.
The SRX is set to get underway in summer 2021 and will air on CBS.
