Michael Annett Takes Xfinity Pole Again, This Time at Road America

Michael Annett is on fire in NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying — well, kind of.

Annett will start from the pole for the third straight race when the series visits Road America this Saturday, Aug. 8.

The JR Motorsports driver of the No. 1 is the beneficiary of the random draw deciding the starting lineup instead of qualifying for the third time, following poles at Kansas Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway.

Austin Cindric will start on the outside of the front row, and Harrison Burton, Justin Haley and Riley Herbst round out the top five.

A total of 37 cars will take the green flag at Road America, the series’ only stop at the Wisconsin track in 2020. The race will feature the series debuts of RC Enerson and Jesse Iwuji, as well as the season debuts of Scott Heckert and Andy Lally.

Road America Xfinity Lineup

The race will be contested at noon ET Aug. 8, with TV coverage on NBC Sports Network.
