Denny Hamlin on Pole for Cup Homestead Race

Denny Hamlin will start first when the NASCAR Cup Series travels to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Dixie Vodka 400 on June 14.

Hamlin was awarded the pole by a random draw held during Fox Sports 1’s Race Hub Thursday night, June 11.

Homestead marks Hamlin’s first pole of the 2020 season. His previous best came at Phoenix Raceway, when he qualified third.

Joey Logano will start on the outside of the front row, with Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott rounding out the top five.

A total of 38 cars will start Sunday’s race, with Tommy Baldwin Racing’s No. 7 the only team not returning from Martinsville Speedway, the series’ previous event.

Homestead Cup Starting Lineup

The Dixie Vodka 400 kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET on June 14, with TV coverage on FOX. It’s one of four races to be held at the track this weekend, along with an Xfinity Series doubleheader and a Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series event.
