Chase Briscoe has a new primary sponsor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Ford Performance Racing School will be aboard Briscoe’s No. 98 Ford Mustang for 16 races in 2020, Stewart-Haas Racing announced Saturday (Feb. 8).
Its first event will be at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Feb. 22.
“The word ‘performance’ is more than just a name when it comes to Ford,” said Briscoe in a team release. “The success Ford has earned on the racetrack has gone directly into the development of its road cars, and its line of Ford Performance vehicles is the best of the best. The Ford Performance Racing School is an extension of that, providing Ford Performance vehicle owners the knowledge and skills to get the most from their car, truck or SUV.”
Briscoe earned one win, 13 top fives and 26 top 10s last season. He was also named the 2019 Rookie of the Year. Briscoe has one additional Xfinity Series victory, at the Charlotte ROVAL in 2018.
Briscoe also took home the 2016 ARCA Menards Series championship when he earned six wins, 14 top fives and 18 top 10s.
Full sponsorship details, including the race schedule, are yet to be announced. SHR previously announced a 10-race sponsorship from HighPoint, which will debut at the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.
Really excited to bring a new partner into NASCAR with @FPRacingSchool if you have the need for speed this is the place for you! Since I’ll be running the Shelby Cobra this year I had to have a helmet that matched. https://t.co/iQSkkUKajJ pic.twitter.com/9zZfnz6cxW
