The Busch Clash on Sunday, Feb. 9 sets off the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season at Daytona International Speedway.
The 75-lap event features drivers who either won a pole in 2019, a past Clash event, a Daytona 500 pole while competing full time, a Daytona 500 event or who qualified for the 2019 Cup Series playoffs.
Though 20 drivers are eligible for this year’s Clash, just 18 are entered for the race. Daniel Suarez and his Gaunt Brothers Racing team will instead focus on making the Daytona 500. Daniel Hemric, who is also eligible, will compete in the Xfinity Series part time for JR Motorsports, sharing the No. 8 car with Jeb Burton. Hemric’s first event is at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The remaining 18 drivers contain virtually no surprises; check the full list below.
