Myatt Snider announced Monday (Jan. 27) he has signed with RSS Racing and expanded his 2020 Xfinity Series season schedule to about 20 races.
He previously signed with Richard Childress Racing and will pilot the No. 21 TaxSlayer car for a partial schedule beginning at Daytona International Speedway. Anthony Alfredo and Kaz Grala will also share that ride.
“It’s hard to put into words how exciting this year is going to be,” said Snider in his release. “Going back and forth between the two teams is bound to keep me busy, but the opportunity to work with both organizations is going to be a huge learning experience. It’s a great way to run my first Xfinity Series season, and I can’t wait to kick it off at Daytona with RCR and Fontana with RSS Racing.”
Snider will drive the No. 93 Chevrolet Camaro at Auto Club Speedway as well as all five road course events, according to the press release. Sponsorship will come from Superior Essex.
“One of the highlights on my schedule with RSS Racing is the ability to run all of the road courses this year. Competing in the [NASCAR Whelen] Euro Series last year really helped prepare me for something like this, including running some of the most prestigious road courses in the world – Brands Hatch, Valencia and Hockenheim to name a few. I really feel prepared, and my lifelong dream of racing at Watkins Glen will come to fruition. It should be a fun season!”
