Castrol has climbed aboard Ryan Newman’s No. 6 NASCAR Cup Series car in select races, Roush Fenway Racing announced Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Additionally, Castol has also joined the organization as its official oil partner.
“We are really excited to have Castrol on board as our official oil partner,” team co-owner Jack Roush said in a team release. “Castrol has been a leader in engine lubrication for as long as I can recall. They have a history of competing with great success at the highest levels of motorsports. I’m looking forward to the edge we feel they will provide our race cars going forward and we can’t wait to launch our partnership in Daytona.”
Castrol’s first event as Newman’s primary sponsor will be at Auto Club Speedway on March 1. The other races are yet to be named.
In 2019 Newman earned 3 top fives and 14 top 10s in his first year with RFR.
