Denny Hamlin won the pole for Saturday’s (Aug. 17) Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol with a lap of 129.320 mph. He will be alongside Kyle Larson for the 500 lap race, under the lights on Saturday night.
“Proud of this FedEx team for giving me such a great car. These guys are on it right now. What these guys are doing is unbelievable.” Hamlin said after qualifying concluded.
“I’m just trying to do everything I can to get better and the results are showing it.”
Larson will start second, followed by Martin Truex Jr, Kurt Busch and Aric Almirola will round out the top five.
Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Lineup
The winner from the Spring race at Bristol, Kyle Busch, was the first car to go out and it was a disadvantage as he will start 31st on Saturday night.
The 59th Annual Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race will get underway at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with the green flag waving at 7:46 p.m. ET.
