The Gander Outdoor Truck Series’ regular season is over and the first race of the playoffs is upon us.
Bristol Motor Speedway is the destination for the first of the final seven races in the 2019 season, and 37 teams are on the initial entry list, meaning five will miss the 200 lap event on Thursday (Aug. 15) night, barring any entry list changes.
John Hunter Nemechek will be driving the No. 8, which is often driven by his father, Joe Nemechek.JHN will be making his first truck start of the season, as he moved up to the Xfinity Series this year from the Truck Series.
Sam Mayer will attempt his Truck Series debut this weekend in the No. 21 truck for GMS Racing. Mayer, who competes in the K&N Pro Series East, won the East race at Bristol in April.
Brennan Poole is back, driving the No. 30 truck for On Point Motorsports. Poole has made 10 starts in the Truck Series this season, the last one at Kentucky Speedway, where he scored a top-15 finish.
Raphael Lessard is in the No. 46 truck for Kyle Busch Motorsports. Lessard is attempting to make his fourth start of the season, with his best finish coming at the last race he competed in, Iowa Speedway, finishing ninth.
Parker Kligerman also returns the Truck Series, driving the No. 75 truck for Henderson Motorsports.
The UNOH 200 will get underway Thursday, Aug. 15 at 8:30 p.m. ET. TV coverage will be provided by FS1.
