Ryan Truex Adds New Hampshire to Xfinity Schedule for JR Motorsports

Earlier this week, JR Motorsports added Kentucky Speedway to Ryan Truex‘s Xfinity Series schedule. Now, he’ll race next weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the No. 8 Chevrolet.

Truex, 27, has one Xfinity start in 2019, finishing second at ISM Raceway in early March. However, he’s looking forward to racing at NHMS, a place he’s found success at in both the Xfinity and Gander Outdoors Truck series.

“New Hampshire is one of my favorite tracks, so I’m looking forward to that,” Truex told Frontstretch. “[I] almost won the truck race there two years ago. I really want to get a trophy there badly, so that’s one I’ve had circled. I’ve won there in K&N and I’ve gotten to take home the granite trophies. I want an Xfinity trophy really, really bad.”

In five national touring starts at New Hampshire, Truex has an average finish of 15th. In four K&N Pro Series East starts at the track, he has a worst finish of third.

Truex is one of seven drivers to have run in the No. 8 car thus far in 2019. After New Hampshire, he is scheduled to race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Sept. 14), the Charlotte ROVAL (Sept. 28) and Kansas Speedway (Oct. 19).
