NASCAR on TV this week

2019 M&M’s 200 at Iowa Speedway Postponed to Noon ET Sunday

Mother Nature wasn’t kind to the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at Iowa Speedway. After rain forced NASCAR to cancel qualifying, severe storms fell upon the Newton, Iowa track. As a result, NASCAR postponed the M&M’s 200 following extensive efforts to dry the track.

The M&M’s 200 will now take place tomorrow (Sunday, June 16). The race is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. ET. with TV coverage provided by Fox Sports 1.

The postponement also creates a NASCAR doubleheader tomorrow at Iowa Speedway. Following the Truck Series race, the NASCAR Xfinity Series event will take place at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Since Truck Series qualifying was rained out, the field was set via the owner point standings. Chandler Smith will lead the field to the green flag, making his NASCAR debut. The 16-year-old driver won the ARCA Menards Series race at Madison International Speedway on Friday, June 14.

The M&M’s 200 is the first Truck Series event to be postponed this season.
