Kyle Benjamin, Niece Motorsports Team for 7 Races

Kyle Benjamin will drive the No. 45 truck for seven races with Niece Motorsports in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, the team announced Monday (April 29).

The first race on the schedule for the youngster is at Texas Motor Speedway on June 7.

“Kyle has been successful in everything he’s run,” Niece general manager Cody Efaw said in a press release. “We are excited to have him on board and are looking forward to running strong with Kyle and hopefully contending for some wins.”

“I’m excited to get back to the Truck Series, especially with Niece Motorsports,” Benjamin added.  “This team has had an incredibly strong start to the 2019 season, so I feel fortunate to continue to build on that momentum and hopefully put together some solid finishes.”

Benjamin has made two previous Gander Outdoor Truck Series, each for DGR-Crosley, with the Easley, S.C., native finishing second and fifth in both Martinsville Speedway races a year ago.

Benjamin will pilot the truck after Texas at Iowa Speedway, Gateway Motorsports Park, Pocono Raceway, Michigan International Speedway, Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Ross Chastain has driven the No. 45 in each of the series races thus far this season. Niece also fields a full-time No. 44 truck.
