Kurt Busch’s No. 1 car failed prequalifying tech twice, and his car chief Ryan Bergenty was ejected as a result. His car did pass the third time through, so he is allowed to qualify. No other excessive issues were reported.
The team will face a 15-minute practice hold next weekend at Dover International Speedway.
Bob Pockrass mentioned the results on Twitter:
KuBusch car got through prequalifying tech on third time through (car chief ejected for failing 2x). … Doesn't appear to be any other multiple failures. Prequalifying tech is done and b/c impound and cars have been thru tech, no real tech tomorrow. #nascar @NASCARONFOX
