Brandon Brown announced in September that he would be running the full NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule in 2019. Now, he is taking on an additional role as an executive for Brandonbilt Motorsports in 2019 and beyond.
Brown, 25, earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Coastal Carolina University in the fall of 2018 with a focus in communications. But for 2019, the Virginia native will play a part in the team’s marketing, activation and have additional day-to-day responsibilities.

However, Brown doesn’t believe the new role will affect his on-track performance.
“It will take up a bit more of my time so I’ll sacrifice a little of my social time,” Brown told Frontstretch. “I’m confident in the time management skills I’ve gained from balancing school full-time with part-time racing.
“The most important key to making this happen will be constant, strong communication throughout the organization, and being able count on some really great guys to help me get the job done. I believe that it shouldn’t pull too much attention off of the racing to where it will affect our on-track performance.”
Since Brown made his Xfinity debut three years ago, he’s made 20 career starts, with a best finish in 2017 at Dover International Speedway, crossing the finish line in 17th.
