Daniel Hemric Grabs XFINITY Pole at Dover

Daniel Hemric scored his third pole of the XFINITY Series season on Saturday (Oct. 6) at Dover International Speedway.

Hemric is still looking for his first win in the series, and also hopes to advance to the next round of the playoffs during the Bar Harbor 200 later this afternoon. He finished third in the spring race at the Monster Mile.

Christopher Bell will be on the outside of the front row. Bell enters this weekend with absolutely no pressure; being the only driver in the playoffs locked into the next round.

Other playoff driver starting spots include spring Dover winner Justin Allgaier in third, Brandon Jones in fifth and Elliott Sadler in sixth. Cole Custer starts seventh followed by Austin Cindric in eighth. Matt Tifft rounds out the top 10 in tenth.

Postseason drivers starting outside the top 10 are Tyler Reddick (14th), Ross Chastian (15th), Ryan Truex (19th) and Ryan Reed (20th).

Qualifying was delayed and shortened due to a persistent mist in the area. Instead of starting at noon local time as originally planned, it instead just consisted of a single 15-minute round that began at 12:40 p.m. ET.
