NASCAR on TV this week

Entry List: Alsco 300

The NASCAR XFINITY Series returns to action this week at the Charlotte Motor Speedway after a few weeks off.  43 cars make up this week’s entry list, meaning three cars will not make the race on Saturday afternoon.

Ty Dillon returns to the No. 3 car for Richard Childress Racing after Shane Lee and Jeb Burton took the wheel the last several weeks during the Dash 4 Cash races when Cup drivers were not permitted to race.

Austin Cindric will be behind the wheel of the No. 12 car for Team Penske as he continues his full-time run for the championship in several different rides.

Cup stars Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott, and Jamie McMurray will all be in this weekend’s race.  Busch will pilot the No. 18 car for Joe Gibbs Racing, Keselowski in the No. 22 for Team Penske, Elliott in the No. 23 for GMS Racing, and McMurray in the No. 42 for Chip Ganassi Racing.  Most notably, Elliott will be making a return to the series for several races after it was announced that he’d be in the car for Spencer Gallagher, who was suspended indefinitely by NASCAR on May 2.

Kaz Grala will be in the No. 61 car for Fury Race Cars. This is a new ride for Grala as he had driven the No. 24 for JGL Racing, but the team shut down following the last race at the Dover International Speedway.

Opening practice for teams takes place on Thursday May 24 at 4:05 p.m. EDT with coverage on FOX Sports 1.  The green flag waves at approximately 1:16 p.m. EDT on Saturday, May 26 with coverage on FOX Sports 1.
