The NASCAR XFINITY Series travels to Talladega Superspeedway for its only event at the track in 2018 this weekend, and 41 cars are currently entered for the Saturday (April 28) race.
That list includes a plethora of XFINITY regulars alongside up-and-comers, as the race is a Dash 4 Cash event and will not include Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regulars.
In terms of cars sometimes driven by Cup regulars, the No. 3 for Richard Childress Racing will be piloted by Shane Lee in his second XFINITY start, while Noah Gragson, also in his second series start and coming off a second-place run in his debut at Richmond Raceway, will drive Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18.
Additionally, Austin Cindric and John Hunter Nemechek will again drive the Nos. 22 and 42 for Team Penske and Chip Ganassi Racing, respectively.
The field exceeds 40 cars thanks to the entry of the No. 98 with Chase Briscoe, who has driven for Roush Fenway Racing so far in 2018. Barring any entry list changes, one car will fail to qualify.
The action for the Sparks Energy 300 will kick off Friday morning (April 27) with two practices, beginning at 10:35 a.m. ET. Qualifying will follow on Saturday (April 28), with the race at 3 p.m. ET.
