Ryan Blaney Scores XFINITY Texas Pole

Ryan Blaney will lead this afternoon’s My Bariatric Solutions 300 to the green flag after posting a 189.990 mph lap in the lone round of qualifying. Following two stoppages for rain during the first round of qualifying, the session was ultimately canceled for a heavy drizzle.

Ryan Truex, who posted his best qualifying effort of 2018, will start alongside Blaney. Brandon Jones, Ryan Reed and Jamie McMurray round out the top five.

Tyler Reddick will line up sixth, followed by Ty Dillon and Justin Allgaier. JJ Yeley and Cole Custer round out the top 10 starters.

In addition to the two red flags for precipitation, the session slowed briefly when Mike Harmon spun. He and Matt Mills did not qualify.

Additionally, seven cars failed to make it through inspection for a variety of reasons. Elliott Sadler, Daniel Hemric, Matt Tifft, Kaz Grala, Josh Williams, Bayley Currey and Kevin Harvick will all start at the rear of the field. Of that group of drivers, Hemric was fastest during final practice on Friday.

The My Bariatric Solutions 300 begins at 2 p.m. ET.
