A combination of rain and snow flurries invaded Ridgeway, Va. right as the Camping World Truck Series competitors fired their engines on Saturday afternoon (March 24).
The race still started at the schedule time, but 23 laps later, NASCAR lost the track to the weather and was forced to throw the red flag. With snow in the forecast for the rest of Saturday night, the race has been postponed to Sunday (March 25).
Martinsville Speedway added lights to the track last year and they will be put to use. The Alpha Energy Solutions 250 will resume after the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series’ STP 500 at 7 p.m. on Sunday night.
Should weather prevent the two series from racing on Sunday, then they will race on Monday (March 26). The Truck race would start at 11 a.m. and the Cup race would follow at 2 p.m.
