Young’s Motorsports, Bolen Motorsports Announce Driver Changes Before Iowa

Late on Wednesday evening two NASCAR Camping World Truck series teams announced driver changes heading into the ever entertaining Iowa race weekend. Tyler Young will be replaced in the truck he owns by Scott Lagasse Jr., while Trey Hutchens will pilot the No. 66 for Bolen Motorsports.

Lagasse has 26 total Camping World Truck series starts with a best finish of third at Daytona in 2015. He has a single start this season for GMS Racing behind the wheel of the No. 24 Chevrolet; he finished seventh. Also, Lagasse has two XFINITY starts this season, both for JGL Motorsports. He brought the car home sixth at Daytona but crashed out after just 48 laps at Talladega.

Young’s Motorsports has attempted eight races in 2017, split between Young and Austin Hill. The pair has an average finish of 19.75, including a trio of 14th-place results at Martinsville (Hill), Kansas (Young) and Gateway (Hill).

Hutchens will make his Truck Series debut this week, driving the ride that has hosted Ross Chastain and Travis Kvapil so far this season. He was the 2015 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour rookie of the year. Hutchens also participated part time on NASCAR’s K&N Pro Series East tour in 2016 with a best finish of eighth in Loudon, N-ew Hampshire.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Iowa Speedway takes place Friday June 23, at 8:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
