Following a pole-winning run Friday, Kyle Busch backed it up with the top time in Saturday Happy Hour from Pocono Raceway.
Turning around the triangle track in 51.305 seconds (175.421 mph), Busch will have the lion’s share of momentum leading into Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Axalta 400.
Brad Keselowski qualified sixth for Sunday and finished second in the final practice session, only 0.040 south of Busch’s time.
Kyle Larson may have won Friday practice, but the No. 42 driver spun off Turn 2 only 10 minutes into the session. Suffering no damage, Larson jumped to third quickest at a 51.367.
Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick completed the top five while Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne and Joey Logano rounded out the top 10.
In the final on-track laps for the series until tomorrow, there were multiple close calls throughout the field.
