Joey Logano Paces Happy Hour Practice

Joey Logano was at the top of the speed charts at the conclusion of Saturday’s Happy Hour at Phoenix International Raceway with a speed of 134.736 miles per hour and a fastest lap time of 26.719.

Happy Hour went from 2:30 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. eastern time.

Logano won the race at Phoenix last fall and starts tomorrow’s race from the pole position.

The Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas of Matt Kenseth (134.519 mph) and Kyle Busch (134.399 mph) finished the session in second and third place.

Logano’s Team Penske teammate Brad Keselowski (134.384 mph) took fourth place.

The fastest Chevrolet was Jimmie Johnson (134.368 mph), who rounded out the top five.

The fastest rookie was Erik Jones (134.208 mph), who was sixth fastest in Happy Hour.

Eight-time Phoenix winner Kevin Harvick (133.427 mph) finished in the 16th spot.

Thirty-eight out of the 39 entries hit the track during the session, with Derrick Cope being the only one to sit the practice out.
