Hamlin Paces the Field in XFINITY Series Final Practice

Denny Hamlin, who already boasts the best Darlington average finish in the Sprint Cup garage, topped the charts in the lone NASCAR XFINITY Series practice for the weekend after rain washed out Friday’s on-track activities.  Defending race winner Hamlin, with a lap speed of 172.664, outran Kyle Larson for the top spot by 0.077 seconds.

Elliott Sadler, Erik Jones and Ty Dillon completed the top 5 in the session.

Daniel Suarez, Ryan Blaney, Ryan Reed, Justin Allgaier, and JJ Yeley rounded out the top 10.

The VFW Sport Clips Help a Hero 200 is scheduled for 3:30 Saturday afternoon. Paul Menard will start on the pole based on owner points with Hamlin on the outside of row 1.
