Entry List: Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to action this weekend after its final off week of the year. Entering a 14-race stretch until mid-November, the series is set to begin the playoffs in less than a month.

Returning to Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend, the sport’s premier division will hit the coliseum-like oval for its traditional night race. It will mark the first event at the track since track officials tampered with it, hoping to create multiple grooves.

There are 40 cars on this weekend’s entry list, as per usual.

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.’s Fastenal scheme will look slightly different this weekend. His No. 17 car will be honoring the late Bryan Clauson, who formerly drove the Fastenal car in the XFINITY Series during his limited time in NASCAR.

Rookie Ryan Blaney will be sporting new colors this weekend for the Wood Brothers. The No. 21 car will be soaked in Hokie red, with Virginia Tech coming on board as part of a two-race deal, with the college sponsoring the team at Martinsville Speedway in October as well.

Jeffrey Earnhardt makes his return to the No. 32 car this weekend. He hasn’t raced since Kentucky Speedway in July, when he finished a career-high 28th.

Cars will hit the racetrack starting Friday morning at 10 a.m. ET.
