HScott Motorsports Announces Personnel Changes on Michael Annett’s Team

HScott Motorsports announced on Tuesday afternoon that the organization has made two personnel changes involving Michael Annett’s No. 46 team.

Current crew chief Jay Guy has been promoted to HSM Technical Director. He will now report to the organization’s competition director, Steve Addington.

Mike Hillman, Sr. will take over the crew chief role for the No. 46 team and will work under the direction of Guy and Addington. Hillman previously owned Hillman racing, which competed through the beginning of this season, but closed operations after failing to make the Daytona 500 with Reed Sorenson.

“We are making these moves today in order to strengthen our management team and develop better lines of communications to improve performance,” team owner, Harry Scott, Jr. said. “Jay Guy’s promotion adds a layer of management we need between the two teams to better coordinate and communicate.  Mike Hillman, Sr. brings more than 25 years of experience to the No. 46.”

Annett is currently 37th in the standings. His best result of 20th in 2016 came earlier this month at Daytona.
