Another race winner was hit with a penalty by NASCAR on Wednesday.

Sam Hornish, Jr.’s No. 18 XFINITY Series team was among six penalized for having modified body panels. The issue was caught in post-race inspection.

The No. 1 team of Elliott Sadler, No. 7 team of Justin Allgaier, No. 20 team of Erik Jones, No. 22 team of Brad Keselowski and the No. 88 team of Alex Bowman were also penalized.

As a result, all six teams’ crew chiefs have been placed on probation through the end of 2016.

Sadler’s team was also one of four teams warned for failing LIS inspection multiple times. The No. 13 team of Harrison Rhodes, No. 16 team of Ryan Reed and No. 19 team of Daniel Suarez were also warned. Reed failed three times and will lose 15 minutes of practice on the next race weekend.

In the Camping World Truck Series, John Hunter Nemechek was docked 10 points and his crew chief was fined $6,000 and placed on probation until 2017 for failing to meet NASCAR’s height requirement.

Caleb Holman was fined $5,000 and placed on probation through Dec. 31 for approaching a hot track outside of his race vehicle.

And while not penalty news, NASCAR announced that for the XFINITY and Truck series, the left-side track bar mounts must be welded to the truck trailing arm. This change was announced to keep teams from skewing the rear of the vehicle, giving the team an aerodynamic advantage.
