10 teams between the Sprint Cup and XFINITY series were warned for failing pre-race inspection multiple times during the Talladega race weekend, including the No. 48 of Jimmie Johnson.
Johnson’s team failed template inspection three times and in addition to his warning he will lose 15 minutes of practice time this weekend at Kansas Speedway.
Other Cup teams receiving warnings were the No. 44 of Brian Scott and the No. 98 of Cole Whitt.
On the NXS side seven teams were warned, with the No. 3 team of Ty Dillon receiving an additional penalty of a loss of 15 minutes of practice time during the next NXS race at Dover.
The No. 0 team of Garrett Smithley, the No. 4 team of Ross Chastain, the No. 18 team of Matt Tifft, the No. 43 team of Jeb Burton, the No. 70 team of Derrike Cope and the No. 85 team of Bobby Gerhart were also warned.
